2. Key in your pick-up & drop-off points and make sure they fall in the state of Melaka, Kuala Lumpur or Penang

GrabHitch Malaysia Promo Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. When is promo HITCHMELAKA and HITCHPENANG available?
These promos are available every Friday to Monday from now until 2nd January 2017. To enjoy the flat fare of RM20 for GrabHitch ride between KL<->Melaka and RM40 for GrabHitch ride between KL<->Penang, you have to book your ride at least 2 days in advance and the ride has to fall on any day from Friday to Monday. These fares are INCLUSIVE of toll.

2. What if I want to travel between KL<->Melaka or KL<->Penang on days other than Friday to Monday?
You can still make a GrabHitch booking for those trips on Tuesday to Thursday. However, the promo codes HITCHMELAKA and HITCHPENANG will not be valid on those days. This means you have to pay the full fare. Without the promo, the full fare (inclusive of toll) for KL<->Melaka is RM38 and KL<->Penang is RM64.

3. Is GrabHitch available for inter-city rides in states other than Melaka, Penang or KL?
Yes, you can make GrabHitch bookings for rides for travel between other states too. However, please bear in mind that GrabHitch is a carpooling service whereby your ability to get a ride depends on a driver going the same way.

4. When can I get the RM5 GrabCar promo code after completing my KL<->Melaka or KL<->Penang ride?
You will receive the promo code via SMS within 24 hours after you complete the ride.

5. Will my GrabHitch ride across state lines be covered by insurance?
Yes, all GrabHitch rides are covered by insurance.

GrabHitch Ride Melaka KL Penang Promo Terms & Conditions

1. This promo is only valid from 28 Nov 2016 – 2 Jan 2017
2. Booking period can fall anytime from 28 Nov 2016 – 2 Jan 2017, but travel period has to be from 2 Dec 2016 – 2 Jan 2017.
3. For the promo to be valid, travel days have to fall any day from Friday to Monday within the travel period.
4. The promo HITCHMELAKA is only valid for rides from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka or from Melaka to Kuala Lumpur and the promo HITCHPENANG is only valid for rides from Kuala Lumpur to Penang or from Penang to Kuala Lumpur. In order for the promo to be valid, bookings have to be made at least 2 days in advance.
5. The flat fare of RM20 will only kick-in when you key-in the promo code HITCHMELAKA and the flat fare of RM40 will only kick-in when you key-in the promo code HITCHPENANG.
6. Promo code is NOT VALID for rides to KLIA / KLIA2.
7. Fare shown in the app is inclusive of the toll charges.
8. All decisions by GrabHitch are final, including the details of this promo and no correspondence will be entertained. We also reserve the right to ensure drivers and passengers are genuine in using this promo, and any suspected fraudulent activities will be caught and taken action against according to GrabHitch’s usual SOP
